Short HISTORY OF TEA IN MUNNAR

 In 1857, a British resident named John Daniel Munro came to Munnar. He came here to settle the border dispute between Travancore and the nearby states of Munnar.

 Now, by seeing the beauty of Munnar,

 He change his interest on plantations and now Munnar seemed to be the best place for that.

 Daniel approached the Poonjar royal family to lend land for him.

 He buys that land from royal family at cheaper price and start plantations 🌱 on that beautiful hilly area..
