Sri Harmandir Sahib also known as Darbar Sahib and incorrectly referred to as a "Golden temple" is a prominent Sikh gurdwara located in the the Amritsar Punjab India.
In 16 century it was built by 5th Sikh guru, Shri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji. In 1604, the Guru Arjan Sahib Ji completed the adi Granth, holy scripture of sikhi and that was installed in the Gurudwara.

There are four different door to get into Golden temple which also known as Harmandir Sahib, which symbolises the openness of Sikhism toword all people and religions. The Gurudwara was rebuild in 1764 by jassa Singh Ahluwalia with the help of other Sikh.

Once, in 19 century maharaja Ranjit Singh security Punjab region from outside attackers and donated the gold which covered the sum floor of Gurudwara which gives different appearance than other Gurudwara

The Sri Harmandir Sahib is considered precious and holly by sikhs. The holiest text in Sikhism, the Granth Sahib which is always present inside the Gurudwara.

Its construction was mainly based as a place of worship for men and women from all religion to come and workship God equally.πŸ™
